This innovative, fully automated, and continuous-cleaning system was developed to eliminate debris buildup, restore optimal flow, and maximize power generation efficiency. Purpose-built for reliability and performance, it ensures uninterrupted operation and sustained energy output. The Automated Coanda Screen Cleaner has been installed regionally and internationally.

What is an Automated Coanda Screen Cleaner?

The Automated Coanda Screen Cleaner is designed with a long brush that moves across the Coanda screen at regular intervals. The Cleaner includes a weatherproof control box, a static line, a drive line, a return pulley, two customized mounting posts, a custom screen cleaning brush, and the hardware and cables required for installation. At installation, the Cleaner is customized to the length of the intake with the brush positioned for full contact with the Coanda Screen. The Cleaner can be tailored to fit all lengths of intake sites.

**What are the benefits associated with installing an Automated Coanda Screen Cleaner?**

Although Coanda Screens are somewhat low maintenance, there are instances where natural conditions require frequent cleaning of the screens to maintain optimal production output. Factors such as flow, water chemistry, and natural debris, manifested as algae, moss, leaves, grass, roots, ferns, and other build up, will lead to clogging of the Coanda Intake Screen resulting in production loss.

When the Coanda Screen is blocked, frequent cleaning is recommended. Manually cleaning the screen can be tedious and difficult to keep up to the rate of fouling. Frequent manual cleaning of the Coanda Screen leads to worker fatigue, risk of exposure, getting wet, and being cold. If site location is geographically difficult to access or predisposed to adverse weather conditions, an automated solution is beneficial.
