General Manager of Development

Matthew brings more than 20 years of asset development and project management experience to Sea to Sky Energy Solutions (SSES). He worked in the Alberta energy industry where he led teams that developed and delivered large oil sands assets as well as clean energy and other infrastructure.

From 2017 to 2023, he was the Director of Renewable Energy for a major energy company. His role included overseeing the development of wind and solar projects in Alberta, including the successful construction of a 200MW wind farm. He is currently supporting the advancement of multiple wind energy projects across Canada with a successful bid ? in BC’s 2024 Call for Power Concurrently, he is developing the Brandywine Creek Hydrogen project in BC and facilitating the Amisk Hydroelectric Should I link to Amisk website? 370MW Run-of-River project in Alberta.

Matthew is a Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University and a Masters of Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada.
